columbines, originally uploaded by thixotropic.

and this is the other columbine from mom's house - tall and free standing and later bloomers than the little purple ones. but i like them all the same. and what's best is that they keep coming back every spring.

sunny delight kills fish

it's true!
It has become a big no-no in school lunchboxes because of its unhealthy reputation.
But it seems that Sunny D, formerly known as Sunny Delight, is not half as bad for children as it is for fish.
Around 8,000 litres of concentrate used to make the drink leaked into a watercourse on Wednesday morning, turning the river bright yellow.
Dozens of fish were found floating on the surface, poisoned by the lurid mixture.

from the daily mail

sure makes you want to chug that stuff huh

i didn't mean to go to tribeca

but the chance to go to the sold-out new york premiere of brothers of the head was just too good to pass up. and this movie was absolutely amazing, complete with great music and acting - i was totally riveted. and if you don't catch it at tribeca its also being released in july, but really, it's lots of fun so go see it this weekend!
