liquids+gels

so given the recent uproar in london about terrorist attacks etc etc etc, and the fact that i have to fly during what is both a major holiday and college student mass migration, i tried to find out what things i could or could not pack so that hopefully i'll cut down the level of hassle i'd get going through security, without having to resort to getting naked and walking through. i'm especially grumpy about the entire situation because i always travel without checking bags, unless i've got a ton of stuff for say, going snowboarding.

thankfully (?) the transportation insecurity administration has a helpful list of acceptable and unacceptable items for both carry-on and checked luggage. it is definitely true that i won't be able to take my precious vanity kit into the cabin - hair stuff, lotion, etc etc. but it turns out that despite the new procedures, you can still have all the things you would need for joining the mile-high club...
While we can not provide a comprehensive list of items you may be carrying, to ensure the health and welfare of certain air travelers the following items are permitted:
# Up to 4 oz. of essential non-prescription liquid medications including saline solution, eye care products and KY jelly
# Gel-filled bras and similar prostethics
similar prostethics? do they mean breast implants? maybe there are there gel-filled penis augmentation prostethics?

anyways.
happy travels for anyone trying to get places this long weekend!
