happy new year! it's the year of the dog. read a list of traditions that i did not follow here. and of course , the tradition that i do almost always observe - wearing new clothes so that the evil spirits won't recognize me in the new year - is not listed. but no, i did not use the new year as a reason to go shopping. really.
